Anthony Tran and Dustin James Discuss “Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown” Delay on “My Ex-BFF Court”

Thursday today, if you own the Snapchat app, you can search the Discover page for “My Ex-BFF Court” and see Anthony ‘Rory’ Tran (ART A Reasonable Truth) and Dustin James (Cat Magick) as they go to “pretend” court over a matter of film making and friendship in season 1 episode 12 of the new show by Snapchat TV and Vertical Networks.

The preview:

The premise is simple. Tran began production on Trippy Tran Films’ debut feature film project Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown in 2009, shooting 1 scene and finishing the script. It took until 2012 to complete production due to actors quitting, 3 re-writes and also to help co-produce with writer/producer Christopher Wesley on his supernatural thriller feature Devil’s Point. A lot of things happened during that process and eventually in winter of 2013, the movie premiered as a 2 1/2 hour cut in a local theater selling almost 100 tickets in 1 night.

When Tran was asked to go on a fun court show where we got to bring back a former actor and best friend who quit the project, he sent out real facebook message screen shots and more to the production co. Vertical Networks to talk about what really happened.

Watch the 12th episode of Season 1:

From side characters like Titney Spears to the character Dustin was meant to originally play: Dane Hollywood, My Ex-BFF Court will showcase the drama, the truth and the reality of what happened but also in the form of entertainment as this is technically reality television.

The reality TV truth:

What are your thoughts? Do you think the show was fair to both sides without even knowing the whole story? Who should have won the case?

Trippy Tran Films is looking for a solid feature sound designer for our 1hr45min cut of this film so we can get it out by next year. You can help donate via Paypal @trippytran or message us at TrippyTranFilms@gmail.com if you or someone you know has reasonable rates on sound design and audio mixing/mastering.

This year, expect to make some serious choices with “Choices – An Interactive Story” – an anthology series with the first season called “Twisted Fates” #ChoicesTF. You will assume the role behind the screen acting as director/storyteller in this insightful drama with the first episode being called “Domestic Violence”. We do want to warn people in advance that this is for mature audiences. “Choices – AIS” is coming early February.

QK-Hilltop

Did you know that in the 1950’s, the American government conducted under-the-radar mind control experiments for purposes of understanding how Nazi soldiers were so brainwashed and consistent? Our new suspense thriller is an intense experience that dives into the truth behind what not many people are willing to talk about. QK-Hilltop is a real experiment (google it) and was right after MK-Ultra.

Many believe celebrities are being cloned and/or mind controlled in main-stream media. You can make your own decisions after seeing one of our strongest films yet.

“Terrific, Terrifying!! Disturbing, for those who had possibly suffered through that, back in the ’50’s. Mesmerizing, and…simply Mind – Blowing…!!! WOW!!” – D. Singh

“I had a “twinge” in my stomach, just by watching it!!” – Viewer

The movie has no official release date as it is being entered into film festivals this year. You can watch the trailer below.

New music videos from ART A Reasonable Truth

The director/producer of Trippy Tran Films is not only talented at film making, the man released a full pop/hip-hop/electronic album last February on his 30th birthday. Only 1 song has a music video so far and that’s the Cali vibe hit song “SoCal Waves”. Expect to see “The Recipe ft. Ayem” and “Get Down With It!” sometime in 2019 if not more. You can stream the album Centerpiece for free here.

Even More Projects!

Those were all mostly filmed last year. This year, we plan on doing even more and hope to find a good sound designer for our long-awaited feature film release Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown.

You can also catch Anthony “Rory” Tran on Santa Clarita Diet, Lucifer and Mr. Iglesias as a background cameo extra as well as Snapchat’s own “My Ex-BFF Court” this year. He was on CBS’ “Let’s Make A Deal” and ABC’s “The Goldbergs” last year.
