New Seal Beach Long Beach 2 Episode of ‘My Vacation In LA’ Is “The Best One Yet” According To Audiences

Happy first official day of summer and you best believe it just got even hotter with the new beach-themed adventure of My Vacation In LA season 2 as the fairweather friends dive into a bright new adventure that has been acclaimed by fans and viewers as “the best episode yet” from this docu mini-series by filmmaker Anthony “Rory” Tran.

Starring Erin Wilkin (Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown) and her honey Randy Roy with San Diego friend Adrianne, the colorful adventure includes classic California drives (with a gorgeous sunset and mountain view), a windy beach adventure, dipping toes in the Pacific Ocean, chasing seagulls, quick conversations and more in OC and LA County. And then comes conflict from Erin.

At this point in the adventure, Erin has landed on the west coast, traveled downtown at The Pike, and has had some tipsy moments (and also some rather bitchy moments) while being filmed. Knowing she had the opportunity to stay at long-term friend Rory’s place for free and in return would be in season 2 and give him Cincinnati favorites like Skyline chili cans, Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce and Grippo’s BBQ chips, she sure started distancing herself from any interaction on camera and it becomes apparent midway through this episode when Rory asks for a sunset photo with her.

Is this is the beginning of the end for season 2? Either way, this episode is filled with surprise and magic. And the birds! – a stellar connection to the original short My Vacation In Cincinnati is amongst the fun.

New Release: Indie Post Production Clips of ‘Obliquity’ ADR & Photo Shoots

Making an independent film is no picnic. Starting with a great script, you then audition the cast, find locations, recruit extras and do your best to maintain quality work amongst the big budget Hollywood world – and this can prove to be a lot to take on.

When we started our feature film Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown we didn’t expect to have script rewrites, recasts and other setbacks along the way of filming this movie. At one point, 3 of the main cast members left the project after only a few main shoots including the actress in COEXIST who played Nurse Lucy.

Finally in 2013, we finished production on a no/low budget community basis in Greater Cincinnati Area (where films like Rain Man, Ides of March, Goat, and James Franco’s The Lost Boy and more were filmed) and it was time to begin voice overs and photo shoots (for posters and promotional use) and that meant reuniting the main cast to finish the work it takes to make a well-rounded film.

Now for the first time, you can see the actors in a home studio (Eazy World Entertainment’s Austin Byrd’s house aka artist and mixer Ayem) with photographer Fiora Casey of Frenzy Photos (who is also the mother of Tia Casey who plays the promiscuous Lucy Horbend.) See Anthony Tran taking charge as director/producer of the project with the team as we strive to achieve the best results for making our debut feature independent film production on the post side of things including some scenes from the movie as they work on redoing their lines for a studio recording to make our production better than ever. With only a dream, true passion and hard work making it all come together, this is how we unite.

Psych Thriller ‘Obliquity’ Whets Appetite with New Behind-The-Scenes Clips

The anticipated debut feature with the tagline “More Than The Eye Can See” from Trippy Tran Films and Sovereign Entertainment has recently released (mostly) spoiler-free Behind-The-Scenes segments on YouTube.com/TrippyTranFilms – be sure to subscribe as new videos will be added. The journey shows tie-ins to Tran’s original short “Duality” with glimpses at some of the surprises in store for the upcoming full-length independent psych thriller Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown.

The video clips include previously unreleased interviews, insight on the lives and thoughts of the cast and crew, waiting in the rain for location clearance, flat tires, getting lost, favorite film parts, the mishaps and the accomplishments, plus, the director himself in action giving viewers a chance to see what it really took for us to make this community-oriented full-length indie film in the Greater Cincinnati Area.

Tran also mentions future releases in the playlist are going to include bands from the Obliquity soundtrack performing live, photo shoots with all the actors for the movie poster, the original cast (recorded with old school cell phones), rehearsing, voice overs and a First-Look at the band ALTERED in the recording studio performing the song they wrote for our film – also entitled “Obliquity”. (Playlist link is above – with 34 clips currently.) We will update the playlist weekly until we run out – and that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Now when viewing the clips, you may notice that they are completely unedited video segments recorded per clip. Due to it being filmed off of a Sony Handycam (that Chris Hicks gave Tran in 2011) we found it to be incompatible with the MacBook used for handling the movie’s files while editing on Final Cut Pro. When we tried to view the file, there was no audio. We decided to give you the raw recordings as part of the experience because of that.

By uploading each video to YouTube, audio and video then became readily available. The behind-the-scenes preview is here to ‘wet your thirst’ for more as we prepare finalizing postproduction of the film this year. New videos will be uploaded to the playlist periodically.
