“QK-Hilltop” is the 9th Original Trippy Tran Films Short Movie…And It’s A MindF*ck

Recently releasing his debut album under the artist name ART A Reasonable Truth, the “Rory Man” aka Trippy T has since been featured in Todrick Hall’s visual album “Forbidden” appearing in both “Forever” as a dancer and club kid in a dystopian future as well as a more featured role on the album track “Forbidden” video starring Jade Novah and Keala Settle (The Greatest Showman).

Watch “Forbidden” starting at 1hr4min and see Trippy T dance by the stage on the right side and stay tuned for this video after!

Also, we entered #PayMeChallenge for RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3 front runner queen Shangela. See more of our work with the Queens and read an article about Derrick Barry compared to our icon Titney Spears – doing it again since 2008.

There are also 2 more film projects that are on the way as well as plans for shooting music videos to ART’s album Centerpiece. (If you’re in Los Angeles and want to dance or be featured, email TrippyTranFilms@gmail.com ASAP!)

After producing 2016’s Denizen, and after working on the upcoming choose-your-own path show Choices – An Interactive Story, director Anthony T. Tran has been asked to direct a short film by writer/actor Charlie Harris (Escape West Films): QK-Hilltop. An odd, yet fitting name for a movie about the continuance of 1950’s government experiments. Based on true events regarding MK Ultra and Project QK-Hilltop.

Meet Jaime Helms. Waking up in a dark room, he finds himself trapped – or is it all in his head? The journey of finding himself becomes an obstacle as the world around him begins to distort. Ringing ears and voices can make or break the experimented.

Made originally for Shape AT&T film festival and to be submitted to many more, #QKHilltop is a hallucinatory trip that demands answers by its climatic finish. Be sure to follow it on facebook.com/QKHilltop @QKHilltop and spread truth about the things that are going on that no one dares talk about. Stay trippy!

Tran is even convinced after creating the first major community film project in Cincinnati Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown that it brought Hollywood production companies to the city – interested in filming there after doing so much with his team since 2008. The book itself will reflect on 9 years of filmmaking including bits on the 3 he spent in Los Angeles so far.

“|Choices| An Interactive Story” Is The New Project by Escape West Films and Trippy Tran Films

Choices - An Interactive Story Teaser Poster - Ian Sideview MirrorWhat if you could change how each character interacted with each other right in front of your eyes? What if the outcome was somehow altered and perspective was at the mercy of your fingertips?

Choices ss Episode 1 Twisted Fates Car promo

There have been several attempts at creating an interactive film story on YouTube, but |Choices| An Interactive Story goes beyond just a game over per wrong choice. Viewers will be altering the whole story as the movie progresses in this new series from Escape West Films and Trippy Tran Films – and the actions are sure to trip you out. The interactive experience puts you, the audience, right in the director’s chair as decisions on where the film goes are in your hands. Strap in, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Is anyone else getting Wreckfest vibes with the above image released for the show? (The driving of two guys rather than two gals this time?!) Though, not having any relation to the multi-genre short film, there is a mobile story game that anyone can play on their mobile devices with Wreckfest – An Interactive Story that’s based on the TTF movie, however, the game itself is a mobile exclusive.

With |Choices| An Interactive Story planned for DVD and YouTube release, progression and changing the elements are easier for computer users and DVD/Blu-ray users to interact with wherever you are, but on the latter, this experience will not be currently available for mobile devices just yet. The new show is directed by Anthony T. Tran so either way you know that it’s going to be a unique and fun-filled journey.

Cincinnati Zombie Walk Videos Feature Crazy Special FX and a Badass Nemesis Replica

Trippy Tran Films - STAR LOGO HiRes

Put on your Halloween hats and take a walk with zombies in our latest ‘green clips’ Cincinnati Zombie Walk 2012 motif. And let’s be honest here: Times have changed and people still can’t get enough of zombies! So much to the point where it seems to be a favorite amongst several Generation X.

Whether you love the blood, gore, pretending you’re dead, the amazing (or silly) makeup effects, or maybe you are annoyed that people are literally becoming zombies in our society. Well one things for sure,  you can’t deny a Zombie Walk isn’t super badass and this one in Cincinnati, OH features Resident Evil favorite baddie Nemesis with giant guns and a group of the S.T.A.R.S. – a team of people who base their life to destroy zombies (no joke!) as they fight them off at Fountain Square!

Adults and children alike enjoy the excitement of going around historic downtown Cincinnati – birthplace of Steven Spielberg and where movies such as Ides of March, James Franco and Mariah Carey have made directorial marks, plus that is where founder Anthony Tran of Trippy Tran Films is from! Watch all the greatest moments from the Zombie Walk right here:

There are 37 various videos shot with the Sony Handycam here to check out. An edit was supposed to be made by the S.T.A.R.S. leader, but it’s been 3 years now so we decided it would be a good idea to upload all the raw clips so our viewers can get a first-hand look at what the Cincinnati Zombie Walk 2012 was really like!

What was your favorite costume, makeup SFX or moment? Comment below and be sure to check out our movies, skits, music videos, live performances, celebrity encounters, LA life, web series’ and more! Have a Boo-tiful Halloween month! And don’t be a zombie more than a month, okay?!

The video clips include previously unreleased interviews, insight on the lives and thoughts of the cast and crew, waiting in the rain for location clearance, flat tires, getting lost, favorite film parts, the mishaps and the accomplishments, plus, the director himself in action giving viewers a chance to see what it really took for us to make this community-oriented full-length indie film in the Greater Cincinnati Area.

Tran also mentions future releases in the playlist are going to include bands from the Obliquity soundtrack performing live, photo shoots with all the actors for the movie poster, the original cast (recorded with old school cell phones), rehearsing, voice overs and a First-Look at the band ALTERED in the recording studio performing the song they wrote for our film – also entitled “Obliquity”. (Playlist link is above – with 34 clips currently.) We will update the playlist weekly until we run out – and that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Now when viewing the clips, you may notice that they are completely unedited video segments recorded per clip. Due to it being filmed off of a Sony Handycam (that Chris Hicks gave Tran in 2011) we found it to be incompatible with the MacBook used for handling the movie’s files while editing on Final Cut Pro. When we tried to view the file, there was no audio. We decided to give you the raw recordings as part of the experience because of that.

By uploading each video to YouTube, audio and video then became readily available. The behind-the-scenes preview is here to ‘wet your thirst’ for more as we prepare finalizing postproduction of the film this year. New videos will be uploaded to the playlist periodically.
