Tonight on Cincinnati’s rock station 102.7 WEBN on Native Noise at 11pm ET – a radio rock show dedicated to bringing local rock artists on the air, Shroom and Nudge will be playing the self-titled movie track ‘Obliquity’ by hard rockers Altered. The song was written for our debut feature film of the same name.
After working 3 years in radio at Clear Channel aka iHeartRadio, director/writer Anthony Tran moved to southern California to pursue film and finalize the theatrical cut of Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown and the Trippy Tran Films Shorts Collection. When the movie was being made, we knew we had to have a killer soundtrack.
Hard rock band ALTERED was excited about the project and began writing and recording the soundtrack-themed title hit ‘Obliquity’ (available on iTunes). The result became an obscure, bellowing, cry through the chaos where both Meyers Cage and Brandon Rubenoff roar “I scream out loud: Obliquity!”
Put on your Halloween hats and take a walk with zombies in our latest ‘green clips’ Cincinnati Zombie Walk 2012 motif. And let’s be honest here: Times have changed and people still can’t get enough of zombies! So much to the point where it seems to be a favorite amongst several Generation X.
SFX Makeup Artist Sophia Anderson and Actor/Director Anthony Tran at the Cincinnati Zombie Walk 2012 (Videos below)
Whether you love the blood, gore, pretending you’re dead, the amazing (or silly) makeup effects, or maybe you are annoyed that people are literally becoming zombies in our society. Well one things for sure, you can’t deny a Zombie Walk isn’t super badass and this one in Cincinnati, OH features Resident Evil favorite baddie Nemesis with giant guns and a group of the S.T.A.R.S. – a team of people who base their life to destroy zombies (no joke!) as they fight them off at Fountain Square!
Adults and children alike enjoy the excitement of going around historic downtown Cincinnati – birthplace of Steven Spielberg and where movies such as Ides of March, James Franco and Mariah Carey have made directorial marks, plus that is where founder Anthony Tran of Trippy Tran Films is from! Watch all the greatest moments from the Zombie Walk right here:
There are 37 various videos shot with the Sony Handycam here to check out. An edit was supposed to be made by the S.T.A.R.S. leader, but it’s been 3 years now so we decided it would be a good idea to upload all the raw clips so our viewers can get a first-hand look at what the Cincinnati Zombie Walk 2012 was really like!
What was your favorite costume, makeup SFX or moment? Comment below and be sure to check out our movies, skits, music videos, live performances, celebrity encounters, LA life, web series’ and more! Have a Boo-tiful Halloween month! And don’t be a zombie more than a month, okay?!
(All footage respectfully the rights of Anthony T. Tran.)Hematosis tears up the stage and features Rocky Doll & Rev-D. Check out the music video the S.T.A.R.S. was a part of and even includes a small bit of the back of Trippy T at the end as a member shot at The Thompson House where critically-acclaimed My Vacation In Cincinnati was filmed. Check out the music video below.
We’ve all seen those bonus features that show us the behind the scenes of our favorite videos and it’s no surprise that Trippy Tran Films is avid about releasing extra material to give to fans – and also respectively to the cast and crew that put their blood, sweat and tears into making community film productions, especially in the beginning stages of our legacy in Cincinnati, OH.
This past summer, for the first time ever we released raw, unedited, uncut recordings of us working on our various productions that we are going to call Green Clips – ‘green’ meaning fresh and new since this hasn’t necessarily been done before, a term also used in the industry.
The reason we are doing ‘Green Clips’ is because first off, a lack of compatibility between the Sony Handycam we taped with and the editing system made it impossible for us to work with. (Remember folks: we are still independent and are looking to raise money for our many projects. Consider donating!) Secondly, using YouTube to host a series of video clips that show everything that happened from when the camera rolls until the operator cuts showcases the realism of the project. That’s not saying we uploaded every little clip ever for these motifs because we made sure to keep it as interesting as possible without wasting time and still maintaining the integrity of the original projects. (New videos below!)
See for yourself or skip around the various Green Clips, or GC, in the playlist. The titles and thumbnails should help one find a flavor that may be entertain. GC runtimes range anywhere from 15 seconds to over 5 minutes per video. Let’s take a look at the releases for this.
KILLER LOOKS AND NOISE – Empty Minds (Music Video) Searching for the right Obliquity music while showcasing Greater Cincinnati Area and beyond bands and music talents was not an easy endeavor. Tran talked to many musicians who, when simply put, was not in it to win it, but when we found the 26 talented artists that signed to our debut feature, we knew we had to do a couple music videos.
The first band who was completely down is contemporary punk rockers Killer Looks and Noise. Director Anthony Tran worked with Daniel Kamphaus, Tyler Stroup (Wreckfest), Phillip Russo (who hosted premier parties and the location of our film My Vacation In Cincinnati – which is also locale in this), and a few others including the band to complete this video shot in a day. See the mayhem and fun of some of the making of shoot.
ALTERED – Obliquity (Making of the Track)
Hard rockers ALTERED approached Tran about making a song for our debut feature film, Obliquity and ended up making a title track with the same name. The heavy melodic tune ‘Obliquity’ is also available to buy on iTunes. See the process of them making the song in the recording studio exclusively in this playlist.
TRIPPY T – Unfreeze (2012)/Shimmer of Longing (Music Video)
Planned and released the day the Mayan Calendar ended (December 21, 2012) and for a competition, ‘2012/Shimmer’ became a recognized video. Working on music with composer Michail Sinenko AKA Sonanze, Trippy T (Anthony Rory Tran’s current artist name) knew a music video had to be done. He pulled a team of people to come together for various shoots including the college he received his Associates degree in Audio/Video Technology, Newport on the Levee and other locations. His 2012 debut music video put him in the spotlight after being behind the camera.
Guest director Josh Gerrety came on board from Eazy World Entertainment to guide Trippy T with the help of Christopher Wesley of Sovereign Entertainment, DP Charles Pierson, Key Grip James Willis and Wreckfest’s Selena Klaphake and Tyler Stroup with many more amazing people came to help that day. Lauren Stinson was the VFX editor. The video was made for a week competition and had mixed reviews. The powerful message seemed to not sit well with Internet trolls, but still remains to be a unique representation of of the Obliquity soundtrack.
OBLIQUITY: IMAGERY OF THE UNKNOWN
Over 100 clips have made it to this playlist on the YouTube.com/TrippyTranFilms channel.
We start in 2011, two years after the project, but then backtrack to look at cell phone recorded videos from 2009 and then go to more “HD” Handycam footage (we put quotes on HD because Sony, that is not true HD!) From creepy hallway scenes, free Chipotlé on set, never-before-seen interviews, shooting the sequel tie-ins to DUALITY at Sharon Woods, our beloved friend and actor Chris Corman who plays Chaz, plus the final day of filming, voice overs, photo shoots and more are all here. That’s not saying we revealed many spoilers here, so you’re (mostly) safe with that, but it does showcase locations. We plan on releasing more GC after the film is publicly released.

We hate to be the one to bring the news that actor Chris Corman unfortunately passed away last week. Director Anthony Tran received the news from Corman’s friend and co-star Amanda Eichelberger from My Vacation In Cincinnati the morning of this devastating loss.
We want to send our condolences and our prayers to Christopher Corman’s family, friends and co-stars who worked closely with Chris and knew what an uplifting, kind spirit he was with strong qualities including dedication, passion, persistence and loyalty.
He always made us laugh on set of both Trippy Tran Films movies (Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown being the big one which is planned for finalizations soon) and was one of the most dedicated persons Tran has worked with to-date.
Follow us at facebook.com/obliquitymovie
Chris Corman stars as Chaz Seraphim Hunter in Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown, an archangel personified “hunter” of answers and truth in a chaotic world.
Chris Corman was without a doubt the band No Doubt’s biggest fan and even moreso of Gwen Stefani. His dream came true when she called him on stage and he got to do a dance with her in front of thousands of people including taking a selfie together. The video can be seen below.
We are trying to reach out to Gwen’s publicist and managers about the loss of Mr. Corman and see if she’d be up to seeing his starring debut feature film role in Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown. If anyone knows how we can get a hold of her, please, let us know or email us at TrippyTranFilms@gmail.com
With great sorrow, we hope the best for all the lives he’s touched so he can be remembered. We know his memory will shine on through his work.
R.I.P. Chris Corman
You were a beautiful friend and a unique and charismatic actor who always shined.

Chris Corman in a haunting scene in the new movie ‘Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown’
Friends of Chris wanted Tran to know what he said to them about him and his work via facebook.
Aaron E. wrote:
“Thank you for everything you did for him Anthony. Chris cherished you a lot. He told me you were one of his best friends of all time.”
Melissa S. wrote:
“Also know that Chris spoke very highly of you and enjoyed working with you immensely.”
Anthony Tran wrote:
It’s heartbreaking to hear that the joy and enthusiasm and dedication of Christopher Corman will no longer light up the room. I was his director on several projects including our feature film debut Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown which is still seeking postproduction help. We did get to premier it at the end of 2013 and he did get to see his big screen debut in the theater so I’m happy he got to have yet another shining moment. He also starred in our 48 Hour Film project My Vacation In Cincinnati and always made people laugh.
To all his friends and family, I have tons of footage with Mr. Corman, a lot hasn’t been released yet. If anybody needs anything for his funeral, please let me know. I reside in Long Beach, CA where Chris and I talked about moving near there.. well Anaheim. Sadly, it never happened. We will honor and remember this unique soul and I hope when we release the feature film that we can remember him in a beautiful way for his passion and hard work as well as being such a fun guy to be around. Fly in the sky friend. You left too soon.

We also want to say that if anyone you know needs any mental, drug-related or health help in any way, to go and seek it. You are not alone. Don’t ever assume that a little isn’t ever too much.
Last week, we listed 10 skits that have tummy tickling moments and we even listed all related videos including the future soon-to-be PocaHeyHey official, the reincarnate of Pocahontas in today’s society, plus character parodies like Titney Spears, Selena Stop!mez, Marie AntoiNOT!, the MSI “Prom” music video, the hilarious radio spot “Leatherware” and more. Well, you didn’t think it would stop there, did you!? Trippy Tran and Trippy Tran Films have been making professional videos and zany comedy skits since 2007 (and owner/operator Anthony Rory Tran has been writing since he was an itty bitty wittle kid.) Here’s 10 more skits! And look! You don’t have to worry about annoying ads all over the page (besides a select few of our own which we implore you to check up on it.) Also, you don’t have to click a Next page button constantly just to finish the article! It’s all listed below!
#1 Do The Apple Turnover! (Churry Churry)
In 2011, Arby’s was having a Cast Calling contest and Anthony “Rory” Tran aka artist Trippy T was on it. In less than a week, he called his local Arby’s (one with the original cowboy hat – those come few, far and between nowadays!) a flash mob of diverse folks, a killer food rap, a hot beat from Greg Durham aka Godtchie (who collaborated with Tran on the song “Mind ArC” for the COEXIST movie soundtrack – see our movies), the mixing style of Michail Sinenko aka Sonanze and the writing collaboration with Hapless aka J.B. Luckett of Eazy World Entertainment (see his debut music video) who also stars in the video as Tran’s hype man.
The video has gained the most fans and views for on a video for the Trippy Tran Films channel up until recently, now being the 2nd highest video with over 4 thousand views on the Trippy Tran Films channel with the highest count of views being our #2 video… (see below)

#2 SIPPY BEARS Juice Bar, Smoothies & Wheat Grass Lemonade
Chef Dan immediately called Anthony Tran about filming commercials for his new business Panda Chefs. He hired Tran to film and edit his commercials from Sushi Bears to Bolly Bears (Indian Cuisine) to the Panda Chefs Shark Tank audition tape sent to ABC as he was being considered, Classy Beading (jewelry making) to Sippy Bears at Findlay Market in downtown Cincinnati, OH. Together, they made promos and tutorial videos to all the delicious exotic ethnic options including the emerging hype of wheatgrass being a new health trend. For some odd reason (that our market research hasn’t full grasped) the Sippy Bears is the most viewed promo and is officially now the most viewed video on the Trippy Tran Films channel at over 6 thousand views! Why do you think that is? Comment and see all the promos below!

Tran also shot Chef Dan’s sister’s wedding and made a music video to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin'” for her wedding video out of the footage and choreography they performed at that wedding. Click the link and keep following your dreams people!

#3 CONAN! Please Blow Up My Car
In 2010, Conan O’Brien had a contest for everyone in the US to submit their crappiest vehicle video and submit it to NBC for the Conan O’Brien Show. The winner was in the same town the studio was in, Los Angeles, CA where Tran now resides. Too bad his car wasn’t in LA so they could blow it up on site. We might have won!
The selection description on their site mentions:
Working in conjunction with the writers of “The Tonight Show with Conan O’brien” we created this fun promo for the launch of the Lexus HS. From over 3,000 video submissions, Conan picked a winner of the worst car in America who would win the Lexus HS in exchange for his car being blown to bits.
Actor Bobby Long approached Tran about doing a Dorito’s contest entry for the Super Bowl. Always game to collaborate, Tran united a team of people to create a video, and the resources included MMA fighter Chad Hinton and his own daughter in the video! Dorito’s bags spinning around his head by graphic/VFX artist Dan Hollandsworth made this video extremely memorable and a tummy tickler for sure, even if it didn’t win the contest (like most our vids – sad face !) There’s competition out there for sure, but isn’t it really about creating and collaborating to make unique and original videos? MMA fighter Chad Hinton thinks so!
See director/writer Anthony Tran’s “COEXIST” starring Bobby Long – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8PqUbrTaCw coming soon to The Official Trippy Tran Films Shorts Collection 2008-2015. Read about the epic DVD release here. Future articles about the double-disc set coming soon.
Bobby Long also hired Tran for a Russian wedding for the Abduganiev’s. Promo video coming soon!
(Here’s hoping everyone’s still married!)
#5 Ke$ha at LA Pride 2015
Well Ke$ha made a comeback that Saturday night at LA Pride this past year. Tran attended the aftermath and went to the parade; but when we stepped through the gates, there was a lot of trash. Needless to say, it made a funny Kesha’s “glitter trash” parody.
In 2007, Tran started at Brown Mackie College and graduated with an Associate’s of Applied Science degree in Audio/Video technology in 2009. The first storyboard project had to be done right, Tran said to himself – and even though the “Object of the Game” assignment was to film an angle, cut the camera and repeat to complete the project, Tran took it upon himself to do a small amount of editing so he could “disappear” from the pimp cups, which when premiered in front of his class, wowed the crowd.
See Tran’s “Drug Deal” featuring Izal Mane and Rel for a DP assignment he lead after he was recovering from being sick for the end of the month for a lighting class project – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB6gQ0zNpo8 and the next video features them as well!
#7 “Get Looney On ‘Em!”
Whilst Tran attended Brown Mackie, they helped film videos for a whole bunch of local Cincinnati artists including big time Showtime music vid (we shot the Goonies video which never was released) as well as Izal Mane and Rel’s old group Cincinnati’s Most Wanted. The students all got to help production, but each student was given the chance to do their own edit for a grade. Above is Tran’s edit. Honestly, Tran got a C+, but looking back at it now, if we had more time, we would perfect the video, but shoot, this is a Looney Tunes anthem for real! How hot is their take on being “looney”. Fresh. Dope. Real. Why are we so underground homies?! Ha.
Once again, another school project makes its way on our list. This hilarious video removed the original commercial’s audio for an assignment to redub the entire commercial. Thinking outside the box, Tran not only wanted to redo all the sound effects, music and voice overs, but instead, rematch it with a lip sync parody vid having Howie from Radio Shack say “can you transfer this cute white pussy to all my friends and family”. Yeah. We went there. See for yourself how well we matched lips and recreated the audio of a popular commercial. Featuring the voice announcer of Jeff Winkelman of Who Productions, Anthony’s main instructor at Brown Mackie College-Cincinnati.
On July 16, 2015, Tran worked did more for sports as a P.A. on Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Sports awards post party event! Due to a knee injury from a serving job in SoCal, he wasn’t able to do as much as he wanted, but being at UCLA helping the team at the Lost Child Meet-Up Point and Lost and Found. With film makers Kimbra McCaul and Dustin Young.
#9 A Suphero Birthday Party!
Filming our debut feature Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown came with connecting with our cast and crew, and in this case, actress Tia Casey and members of the rock band The Upset Victory. Together, we celebrated Tia’s birthday wearing superhero costumes made from table cloths and styrofoam masks.
Unfortunately, later in the evening, Tran was jumped by two guys near the band mates car. Tran said “what’s up” to them and the next thing you know, was beaten to the temple with pounding fists for over a minute until his friends left the bar and realized what was going on. It was like a black out. The attack occurred at Bellevue Vets in which there were security cameras and was by a main street off of the Newport exit, but the officer let the attacker go right in front of everyone and didn’t do anything for the ruthless attack. Luckily, only the good memories were captured above and one might call The Upset Victory including the guitarist’s heroic brother for being a superhero at the end of the night.
#10 ACTV Special featuring German Commercial parody, The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever Behind The Scenes, Music Videos and more!
Let’s time travel back to when Tran was a senior in high school and was still (and still is) very passionate about film work. He took 2 years of German and was finishing some scenes for The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever after making the MSI “Prom” cover video before and after his Junior Prom and was asked to submit to public broadcasting featuring his works. This special is about 25 minutes and includes a lot of Tran’s earlier work.
A few years later, ACTV in Anderson Township, banned Anthony Tran from airing videos on their public broadcasting saying our work was “too commercial”. When Tran released “COEXIST” after 10pm on public broadcasting, there were some concerns about the majority of elderly people residing and watching the program that the film was so horrific that it might give them a heart attack, said by the chairman. We don’t think our stuff is that explicit, but to each their own! Now Tran is in California and will be making a new special for Long Beach and LA residents to check out his work going along with The Official Trippy Tran Films Shorts Collection 2008-2015.
What was your favorite video?! Tell us in the comments below and as always, please follow us, subscribe, like and share! Or we won’t be able to make anymore videos.. ever! Ha. For real though. Seriously. #Support

KoRn signed Orgy to Elemtree Records in 1998 (when I was just 10 years old.) I have followed Orgy through Candyass, Vapor Transmission (2000) and even their third release (and first independent release under D1 Music) Punk Statik Paranoia (2004) – an EP of 9 tracks. Finally in 2012, they released a new song “Grime of the Century” with all new members besides lead singer Jay Gordon, but had no mention if there was an album associated with the single.
Me, Anthony Tran with Jay Gordon, lead singer of Orgy
It’s been 11 years since Orgy has released an album and now in March 2015, we’re given a 7-track EP known as Talk Sick. Released as a download card at their first tour of 2015 at The Whisky A Go Go on Sunset Blvd. in Los Angeles, CA on 3.21.15 – and according to sources – was just mastered 3 weeks before then. So what can we expect from industrial nu-metal rockers Orgy? Is the album worth the listen?
The answer is yes, yes and YES. There’s so much presented here in just these 7 tracks, but they never push too hard to fit in with the rest of the music industry today. Implementing their nu-metal roots with synth and hints of the 90’s sound of Candyass with a sprinkled mix of the early 2000’s Vapor Transmission and Punk Statik Paranoia are all presented here, but now the sound (and even the lyrics) have gotten more defined and a heck edgier with heavier guitars and electronic sounds being the album every Orgy fan (and even nu-metal fan) will love.
The band’s unique, and considerably explicit title of a band name, Orgy (meaning an orgy of sounds) is what you’re going to get in this release because each song does offer something different, including the essential need to be provocative with sex, drugs and rock and roll.
Buy the album at their website: http://www.orgymusic.com/talksick/
My favorite tracks: Wide Awake and Dead Talk Sick Come Back G Face
The other songs had to grow on me, and some of them still are after a couple days, but are all so original that it’s worth listening to over and over again until “replay replay, let me see your G face” or “Suck It!”, or “I’ve seen the devil has got me in a spell, But I’m not one to kiss and tell” or “the monster in you is the monster in me!” is played and believe me – it will stick like imprints on your brain once you hear it.
Orgy performed all 7 songs on tour off of this EP and for good reason. See the live video recorded from my cell phone below. I listened intently to every song and wrote down lyrics from what I could understand. The lyrics link is below this video.
I have listened to the songs thoroughly and have done my best to write down the lyrics based on what I could hear (mixing vocals and effects make certain lyrics harder to distinguish.) Click the song titles in the link above to read the lyrics and to see stills from their 2015 show in LA. You can purchase the album from their website at http://www.orgymusic.com/talksick/
Just a few days after the show, Orgy released Talk Sick to be purchased online exclusively at their website for $8.99, $1.99 more than if you see them on tour.
