MTV’s Scream – Season 2 (Screamson 2) Finale Airs Tuesday

Screamson 2 is about to end, but you still have time to watch all 11 episodes leading to the season 2 finale of this dark teen slasher drama mystery that is Scream, or as many refer to it as MTV SCREAM or more officially Scream: The TV Series. The conclusion to this wickedly eerie chapter airs this Tuesday, August 16 at 10PM. So many questions are becoming answered, but we’re also left with so many still wide open. Like last year in our MTV’s Scream – Season 1 Finale (Screamson 1), we’re going to talk about our thoughts on the new and current story, characters and the potential killer(s)/accomplice(s).

Contains Spoilers:

Last year, we wrote out all our perspectives of the characters the show had given us right before the finale. This time, the story has gotten deeper with certain situations as well as introducing many new ones. What’s Eli and Aunt Tina hiding? Who burnt the house down that Emma was in with Eli? Why are Audrey’s letters in Kieran’s house? Why did Zoe have to die after Noah was stalked for the first time? Is Gustavo making the deaths in his comic book or is he really just a twisted artist from living with a Sheriff as a father?

Let’s review our killer characters:

MTV’s Scream – Season 1 Finale (Screamson 1)

Being a fan off horror/thrillers, Trippy Tran Films writer/director Anthony Rory Tran experienced Wes Craven’s SCREAM when he was 13 years old. Movies like this have inspired him as a filmmaker (read the Inspiring Scares article by Slasher Studios) and when Scream 5 got cancelled, a spin-off stand-alone show was announced in 2013. Now 2 years later at the tail end of summer 2015, the final episode of MTV’s Scream is here. (See below for character theories!)

Scream-MTV-418x270

Now has the series so far lived up to the original films? It’s interpretive. For Tran, he believes that there are moments that will leave chills and horrify, but are also moments that drag with too many side stories (like most TV show spinoffs of movies) and not enough scenes with long lasting suspense, minus episode 7 “In The Trenches” and most of episode 3 “Wanna Play A Game” as those never let go of the suspense we know and love in a franchise like this. A lot of people also agree, there isn’t a lot of chase scenes. The killer seems to get his dinner and go, wanting some fast food for his murderous appetite – as Noah might say.

Wes Craven born Aug 2, 1939 passes this weekend on Aug 30, 2015, the weekend before the finale of MTV’s Scream. MTV said they are doing a tribute to him after the episode. Not to be a Piper, but isn’t that a little odd that the director of the beloved franchise dies before the season finale of a not-s0-lived-up TV series of the same name? R.I.P. Wes Craven. You made some of the most unique horror films to-date.

Could there be a new story and killer in season 2? A continuance? How long can this Brandon James story last also as it does delve into the supernatural realm a bit – which was announced when the show greenlighted in 2013.

MTV Scream season finale

Anthony Tran gives his two cents from watching this season breaking down the characters, theories and who he thinks is the killer below! The season finale is tonight!!!!! See it tonight and then come back tomorrow to hear our thoughts on the season. Watch it tonight on MTV 10pm/9pm central. (All photos are owned by the respective artists.) CONTAINS SPOILERS!

P.S. You’ll never hear the classic song “Daisy Bell” the same way ever again after watching this!

New Release: Indie Post Production Clips of ‘Obliquity’ ADR & Photo Shoots

Character Promo 2 - Dane Hollywood

Nathaniel Grauwelman (“Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown”, “Abraham Lincoln vs. Zombies) character promo.

Making an independent film is no picnic. Starting with a great script, you then audition the cast, find locations, recruit extras and do your best to maintain quality work amongst the big budget Hollywood world – and this can prove to be a lot to take on.

Watch the new behind the scenes post production clips with voice overs, photo shoots and more!

When we started our feature film Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown we didn’t expect to have script rewrites, recasts and other setbacks along the way of filming this movie. At one point, 3 of the main cast members left the project after only a few main shoots including the actress in COEXIST who played Nurse Lucy.

Angela Foster - Character Promo Still

Finally in 2013, we finished production on a no/low budget community basis in Greater Cincinnati Area (where films like Rain Man, Ides of March, Goat, and James Franco’s The Lost Boy and more were filmed) and it was time to begin voice overs and photo shoots (for posters and promotional use) and that meant reuniting the main cast to finish the work it takes to make a well-rounded film.

Lucy Horbed - Character Promo StillNow for the first time, you can see the actors in a home studio (Eazy World Entertainment’s Austin Byrd’s house aka artist and mixer Ayem) with photographer Fiora Casey of Frenzy Photos (who is also the mother of Tia Casey who plays the promiscuous Lucy Horbend.) See Anthony Tran taking charge as director/producer of the project with the team as we strive to achieve the best results for making our debut feature independent film production on the post side of things including some scenes from the movie as they work on redoing their lines for a studio recording to make our production better than ever. With only a dream, true passion and hard work making it all come together, this is how we unite.

The Most Offensive Horror Parody Releases: The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever

**TDHFE 2015 - Promo Day 2c - Jeepers Creepers.jpg**TDHFE 2015 Promo - One More Day - Dee

In today’s world, the media has pushed the envelope whether it’s saying “shit” on TV and radio more than ever, discussing racial topics and exploiting others for it, lots of boobage and sex on YouTube and TV (Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”, Justin Timberlake’s “Tunnel Vision” and hello – Miley Cyrus) or just plain violent programming on network TV and cable access (Hannibal or MTV’s Scream that premiered Tuesday anyone?) Needless to say, the world has changed a lot in the last 10 years.

New 2015 trailer parodies “The Gallows” TV Spot.

Disclaimer: This film is may be rude, crude, offensive, politically incorrect and is for mature (and immature) audiences who like that. The movie in no way represents the feelings or thoughts of anyone involved in the project. Trippy Tran Films holds no responsibility for the material of this film. You have been warned. You may get pissed off – or you may just laugh.. a lot.

Parodies in #TDHFE include Scream, The Ring, Final Destination, Darkness Falls, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Freddy vs. Jason, Saw, Taco Bell, Scream 4 (even though it was released 6 years after Tran’s short, he originally had a Scream barn scene parody) and more. The script had tons more parodies that have never been filmed yet, but the final product is still pretty awesome.

Flashback to 2004/2005. Director/writer Anthony Tran was 16 years old and went to YMCA Summer Camp before his junior year. There, he wrote a short skit including 4 girls in his weight lifting class. The skit was then presented on stage for the end of the week talent show called “Scream Again Yo” being a parody of the Scream franchise as well as other horror films. He then wrote his “Sk8r Boi” Avril Lavigne parody called “Hermaphrodites”. Then in his junior year of high school, he went to attend the Scarlet Oaks Vocational School in Cincinnati in the program most fitting for him: Digital Television Production or DTV. He was making new music videos, skits, learning how to edit with Final Cut Pro and more. His passion for writing hadn’t stopped and so he turned his Scream Again Yo into a 50 page script called The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever. With friends reading it, some shocked and some thinking it was the most hilarious thing ever, he began to film scenes for the project and edited it at school.

Ring tdhfe still 2

Now the kicker is that he was 16, young, a rebel, with an imagination like no other. He implemented racial issues into his movie and began to talk about what is funny in different cultures for an ending that left everyone washed away by the flood (except for a “lucky” few) spoofing The Day After Tomorrow and realizing that without the differences and cultures in our world, it would indeed be a boring place. But that’s not without saying the film may be offensive to many with it’s racial slurs, fat jokes and mentally challenged spoofs of horror icons Freddy and Jason.

Ring TDHFE still1As Tran grew up, he didn’t really get back into putting the film together as the script was only half shot, the Scream Again Yo scene never to be found (never filmed except for the YMCA Leaders Camp skit in which he paid for and never received a DVD for) and a lot of politically incorrect teenage angst built up as he was bullied in school before he began the project by several races that judged him for being half Asian (and ambitious) for being himself.

EXCLUSIVE! Read part of the original script here.

10 years later with moving films like His Name Is Walter to even more comedy mayhem like Wreckfest, Tran decided to take a look at whatever footage was salvaged before the film was gone for good. A fresh new cut – literally – has been made for the film. Some scenes were unable to be found like the classic The Ring parody where he actually shot the side of the TV with his friend Kat crawling out with long hair asking for chalupas. Memories like that will never be forgotten as he attempted his first feature, and only time will tell if any of the other footage will ever see the new world of YouTube and social media. At least we have this. The most offensive movie you may ever see.
