Chris Corman was without a doubt the band No Doubt’s biggest fan and even moreso of Gwen Stefani. His dream came true when she called him on stage and he got to do a dance with her in front of thousands of people including taking a selfie together. The video can be seen below.

We are trying to reach out to Gwen’s publicist and managers about the loss of Mr. Corman and see if she’d be up to seeing his starring debut feature film role in Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown. If anyone knows how we can get a hold of her, please, let us know or email us at TrippyTranFilms@gmail.com

It’s heartbreaking to hear that the joy and enthusiasm and dedication of Christopher Corman will no longer light up the room. I was his director on several projects including our feature film debut Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown which is still seeking postproduction help. We did get to premier it at the end of 2013 and he did get to see his big screen debut in the theater so I’m happy he got to have yet another shining moment. He also starred in our 48 Hour Film project My Vacation In Cincinnati and always made people laugh.

To all his friends and family, I have tons of footage with Mr. Corman, a lot hasn’t been released yet. If anybody needs anything for his funeral, please let me know. I reside in Long Beach, CA where Chris and I talked about moving near there.. well Anaheim. Sadly, it never happened. We will honor and remember this unique soul and I hope when we release the feature film that we can remember him in a beautiful way for his passion and hard work as well as being such a fun guy to be around. Fly in the sky friend. You left too soon.

The video clips include previously unreleased interviews, insight on the lives and thoughts of the cast and crew, waiting in the rain for location clearance, flat tires, getting lost, favorite film parts, the mishaps and the accomplishments, plus, the director himself in action giving viewers a chance to see what it really took for us to make this community-oriented full-length indie film in the Greater Cincinnati Area.

Tran also mentions future releases in the playlist are going to include bands from the Obliquity soundtrack performing live, photo shoots with all the actors for the movie poster, the original cast (recorded with old school cell phones), rehearsing, voice overs and a First-Look at the band ALTERED in the recording studio performing the song they wrote for our film – also entitled “Obliquity”. (Playlist link is above – with 34 clips currently.) We will update the playlist weekly until we run out – and that’s not going to happen anytime soon.

Now when viewing the clips, you may notice that they are completely unedited video segments recorded per clip. Due to it being filmed off of a Sony Handycam (that Chris Hicks gave Tran in 2011) we found it to be incompatible with the MacBook used for handling the movie’s files while editing on Final Cut Pro. When we tried to view the file, there was no audio. We decided to give you the raw recordings as part of the experience because of that.
