The smash comedy (literally) is making its way to reach bigger audiences as a movie on Amazon Prime in which you can buy or rent and stream with the app and this won’t be the last. Trippy Tran Films is planning to release up to 10 movies and have them available again, since they were taken down in 2015 to prepare for a DVD Collection that’s still in the works. See Movies.
Some may say it’s well overdue after removing such classic short films like His Name Is Walter, My Vacation In Cincinnati, Duality, and iNPersonNation. We love the F.A.K.E.S. (Fabulous Amateurs Keeping Entertainment Simple). From comedy, drama to thriller/horror and sci-fi, we have created several movies that we want to continue sharing with the world and since Indie Reign ended, we haven’t had a place to share our projects through a digital sales medium.
Expect all the original Trippy Tran Films movies to be on there, and eventually Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown will be on there too.
Award-winning multi-media production company Trippy Tran Films is original, mind-bending, colorful and fresh. A “trip” around the site will show you how many projects our team’s created from short films, feature films, music videos, songs, commercials, travel Vlogs and more and just because you’ve seen one thing doesn’t mean you’ve discovered it all and trust, there’s plenty to be seen for all tastes.
Celebrating 3 years in Los Angeles after moving from Cincinnati, OH (yes, thats where Steven Spielberg is from, where Kroger is a grocery store and the birth of the first national baseball team was signed: Redlegs), the Trippy Tran Man is now in California making moves and a new visual photo art book is now available to showcase all the hard work and adventure. From our own original content to working on several more series’ plus, a look at the new promotional music of ART A Reasonable Truth aka Trippy T, the photo book is as vivid as it is informative and limited quantities are hitting the market.

Tran is even convinced after creating the first major community film project in Cincinnati Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknownthat it brought Hollywood production companies to the city – interested in filming there after doing so much with his team since 2008. The book itself will reflect on 9 years of filmmaking including bits on the 3 he spent in Los Angeles so far.

Filmmaker, writer, director, producer, actor, singer, rapper, editor Anthony “Rory” Tran highlights the talents and collaborations from Cincinnati to Los Angeles including short films, feature films, commercial work and more. Includes a look at the future work of TrippyTran and ART.
Back in March, you may have seen #40DaysOfSuccess on social media by multi-talented filmmaker, actor, singer/rapper, DJ, etc. Anthony “Rory” Tran as each day, he posted something to be proud of in the independent film community to industry media work. Now come end of September, the Tran Man shares his experiences producing Denizen, directing/writing Wreckfest, what’s going on with Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown and The Official Trippy Tran Films Shorts Collection, plus the new show Choices: An Interactive Story and an exclusive look at working on his debut pop album.
Something tells me this is just the beginning as grounds aren’t all covered (see the in-depth look at 40 Days Of Success above) as projects he ran camera for and DP’d like Maery Queens, The United Estates of America, PALS, and assisting photo booths for Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards aren’t mentioned here – and we can assume that it will be discussed in the future. However, there is a lot already covered in 40 Days Of Success – The Interview and fans will be pleased to know that Tran is on the move to complete new releases with this visual update.
What are your thoughts on #40DaysOfSuccess? How long until another 40 more successes are completed would you say for this ambitious film maker?
Comment your thoughts below and follow us (and Tran) on social media.

When the short film My Vacation In Cincinnatipremiered at the 48 Hour Film Festival, it became a hit for its quirky dramedy at a B&B (Bed & Breakfast) when a couple wins a radio contest to see their favorite rock band. Written by Shane Stephens and filmed in 2012, the cast mostly did improv with the extreme time constraint traveling to 5 different locations all over the Nati. Starring Obliquity actor Chris Corman, the movie inspired the docu mini-series 3 years later with My Vacation In LA which released 7 episodes this past February in 2016.
Erin Wilkin (Obliquity) with Freddy Kruger in My Vacation In LA season 2.
With a Top 10 Countdown being released soon for MVILA starring MÆRY QUEENS actress Ash Nicole, a season 2 has also been announced starring another Obliquity actress, Erin Wilkin. Not only are we preparing season 2, but My Vacation In Cincinnati 2 has been announced as well and it features singer/rapper Trippy T aka Rory Man from MVILA seasons 1 and 2 and Alicia from season 1. These new adventures take Rory to a reunion for 2 weeks after he moved 2 years and 2 months prior to LA, returning back home since the earnest move.
Without revealing too many details, My Vacation In Cincinnati 2 features actresses like Tia Casey from Obliquity, Christina Murnen star of Duality, Tani Bhatnagar from Coexist, and Ren Hicks writer of His Name Is Walter and star of Wreckfest, plus talent from the Obliquity soundtrack including Dustin James and Maliz Pop. This is one reunion you don’t want to miss!

We’ve all seen those bonus features that show us the behind the scenes of our favorite videos and it’s no surprise that Trippy Tran Films is avid about releasing extra material to give to fans – and also respectively to the cast and crew that put their blood, sweat and tears into making community film productions, especially in the beginning stages of our legacy in Cincinnati, OH.
This past summer, for the first time ever we released raw, unedited, uncut recordings of us working on our various productions that we are going to call Green Clips – ‘green’ meaning fresh and new since this hasn’t necessarily been done before, a term also used in the industry.
The reason we are doing ‘Green Clips’ is because first off, a lack of compatibility between the Sony Handycam we taped with and the editing system made it impossible for us to work with. (Remember folks: we are still independent and are looking to raise money for our many projects. Consider donating!) Secondly, using YouTube to host a series of video clips that show everything that happened from when the camera rolls until the operator cuts showcases the realism of the project. That’s not saying we uploaded every little clip ever for these motifs because we made sure to keep it as interesting as possible without wasting time and still maintaining the integrity of the original projects. (New videos below!)
See for yourself or skip around the various Green Clips, or GC, in the playlist. The titles and thumbnails should help one find a flavor that may be entertain. GC runtimes range anywhere from 15 seconds to over 5 minutes per video. Let’s take a look at the releases for this.
KILLER LOOKS AND NOISE – Empty Minds (Music Video) Searching for the right Obliquity music while showcasing Greater Cincinnati Area and beyond bands and music talents was not an easy endeavor. Tran talked to many musicians who, when simply put, was not in it to win it, but when we found the 26 talented artists that signed to our debut feature, we knew we had to do a couple music videos.
The first band who was completely down is contemporary punk rockers Killer Looks and Noise. Director Anthony Tran worked with Daniel Kamphaus, Tyler Stroup (Wreckfest), Phillip Russo (who hosted premier parties and the location of our film My Vacation In Cincinnati – which is also locale in this), and a few others including the band to complete this video shot in a day. See the mayhem and fun of some of the making of shoot.
ALTERED – Obliquity (Making of the Track)
Hard rockers ALTERED approached Tran about making a song for our debut feature film, Obliquity and ended up making a title track with the same name. The heavy melodic tune ‘Obliquity’ is also available to buy on iTunes. See the process of them making the song in the recording studio exclusively in this playlist.
TRIPPY T – Unfreeze (2012)/Shimmer of Longing (Music Video)
Planned and released the day the Mayan Calendar ended (December 21, 2012) and for a competition, ‘2012/Shimmer’ became a recognized video. Working on music with composer Michail Sinenko AKA Sonanze, Trippy T (Anthony Rory Tran’s current artist name) knew a music video had to be done. He pulled a team of people to come together for various shoots including the college he received his Associates degree in Audio/Video Technology, Newport on the Levee and other locations. His 2012 debut music video put him in the spotlight after being behind the camera.
Guest director Josh Gerrety came on board from Eazy World Entertainment to guide Trippy T with the help of Christopher Wesley of Sovereign Entertainment, DP Charles Pierson, Key Grip James Willis and Wreckfest’s Selena Klaphake and Tyler Stroup with many more amazing people came to help that day. Lauren Stinson was the VFX editor. The video was made for a week competition and had mixed reviews. The powerful message seemed to not sit well with Internet trolls, but still remains to be a unique representation of of the Obliquity soundtrack.
OBLIQUITY: IMAGERY OF THE UNKNOWN
Over 100 clips have made it to this playlist on the YouTube.com/TrippyTranFilms channel.
We start in 2011, two years after the project, but then backtrack to look at cell phone recorded videos from 2009 and then go to more “HD” Handycam footage (we put quotes on HD because Sony, that is not true HD!) From creepy hallway scenes, free Chipotlé on set, never-before-seen interviews, shooting the sequel tie-ins to DUALITY at Sharon Woods, our beloved friend and actor Chris Corman who plays Chaz, plus the final day of filming, voice overs, photo shoots and more are all here. That’s not saying we revealed many spoilers here, so you’re (mostly) safe with that, but it does showcase locations. We plan on releasing more GC after the film is publicly released.

Here at Trippy Tran Films, ideas are constantly rolling between director/writer/operator Anthony Tran and his team of creatives whether it be a skit, a parody, a new commercial, a radio spot, voice over work, vLogs and more. Dozens of videos have been made for fun on the side and have never been fully listed until now.
We are constantly coming up with ideas on top of our so far released 7 short films, our full-length feature films coming soon including our own Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknownand the film we co-produced Devil’s Point, the horror comedy parody that just released called The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever (#TDHFE), plus music under the current artist name of Trippy T and while our projects being released remain professional – we also like to have fun! Check out our skits and let us know your favorites! More videos are available at YouTube.com/TrippyTran please Subscribe and follow! Your support truly helps!
#1 GENESIS OF THE HEY HEY
PocaHeyHey has been an idea of Tran’s since 2011 (so don’t even think about trying to steal it!) The complete minisode collection has been put together and Tran and fans alike would like more to come. The idea has spawned multiple side videos including SunnyGayGay and a list of ideas we hope to bring to our channel in the near future!
Short and sweet. The middle is a tummy tickler for sure!
#10 “Prom” Mindless Self Indulgence (Cover Video feat. A.Ro Tran)
After creating The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever, cast and crew members were featured for their Junior Prom video filmed right before their actual prom! This made one of the most entertaining and hilarious videos that Tran did in high school. The video was so explicit with drinking, masturbation references and cussing that it practically got banned from his school.
What was your favorite video?! Tell us in the comments below and as always, please follow us, subscribe, like and share! Or we won’t be able to make anymore videos.. ever! Ha. For real though. #Support
For more comedy videos, check out professional movies like Wreckfest and My Vacation In Cincinnati which are coming soon to DVD, and of course check out our horror parody from 2005, The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever.
More comedy, skits and vLogs to come! NEW VLOG show coming soon!

In today’s world, the media has pushed the envelope whether it’s saying “shit” on TV and radio more than ever, discussing racial topics and exploiting others for it, lots of boobage and sex on YouTube and TV (Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines”, Justin Timberlake’s “Tunnel Vision” and hello – Miley Cyrus) or just plain violent programming on network TV and cable access (Hannibal or MTV’s Scream that premiered Tuesday anyone?) Needless to say, the world has changed a lot in the last 10 years.
New 2015 trailer parodies “The Gallows” TV Spot.

Disclaimer: This film is may be rude, crude, offensive, politically incorrect and is for mature (and immature) audiences who like that. The movie in no way represents the feelings or thoughts of anyone involved in the project. Trippy Tran Films holds no responsibility for the material of this film. You have been warned. You may get pissed off – or you may just laugh.. a lot.
Parodies in #TDHFE include Scream, The Ring, Final Destination, Darkness Falls, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, Freddy vs. Jason, Saw, Taco Bell, Scream 4 (even though it was released 6 years after Tran’s short, he originally had a Scream barn scene parody) and more. The script had tons more parodies that have never been filmed yet, but the final product is still pretty awesome.
Celebrate 10 years of The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever!

Flashback to 2004/2005. Director/writer Anthony Tran was 16 years old and went to YMCA Summer Camp before his junior year. There, he wrote a short skit including 4 girls in his weight lifting class. The skit was then presented on stage for the end of the week talent show called “Scream Again Yo” being a parody of the Scream franchise as well as other horror films. He then wrote his “Sk8r Boi” Avril Lavigne parody called “Hermaphrodites”. Then in his junior year of high school, he went to attend the Scarlet Oaks Vocational School in Cincinnati in the program most fitting for him: Digital Television Production or DTV. He was making new music videos, skits, learning how to edit with Final Cut Pro and more. His passion for writing hadn’t stopped and so he turned his Scream Again Yo into a 50 page script called The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever. With friends reading it, some shocked and some thinking it was the most hilarious thing ever, he began to film scenes for the project and edited it at school.
First reaction at to “Hungry Potentials” scene in The Dumbest Horror Flick Ever
Now the kicker is that he was 16, young, a rebel, with an imagination like no other. He implemented racial issues into his movie and began to talk about what is funny in different cultures for an ending that left everyone washed away by the flood (except for a “lucky” few) spoofing The Day After Tomorrow and realizing that without the differences and cultures in our world, it would indeed be a boring place. But that’s not without saying the film may be offensive to many with it’s racial slurs, fat jokes and mentally challenged spoofs of horror icons Freddy and Jason.
As Tran grew up, he didn’t really get back into putting the film together as the script was only half shot, the Scream Again Yo scene never to be found (never filmed except for the YMCA Leaders Camp skit in which he paid for and never received a DVD for) and a lot of politically incorrect teenage angst built up as he was bullied in school before he began the project by several races that judged him for being half Asian (and ambitious) for being himself.
10 years later with moving films like His Name Is Walter to even more comedy mayhem like Wreckfest, Tran decided to take a look at whatever footage was salvaged before the film was gone for good. A fresh new cut – literally – has been made for the film. Some scenes were unable to be found like the classic The Ring parody where he actually shot the side of the TV with his friend Kat crawling out with long hair asking for chalupas. Memories like that will never be forgotten as he attempted his first feature, and only time will tell if any of the other footage will ever see the new world of YouTube and social media. At least we have this. The most offensive movie you may ever see.
Popular girls Tori and Vicki are reckless. Now at their 5 year high school reunion, will they continue to cause disaster? It’s up to you to decide how their story unfolds with the Wreckfest – An Interactive Story mobile smart device game through the app Episode, available for free through the GooglePLAY store. (Free Download link below!)
We created this game back in fall 2014 (see Wreckfest – An Interactive Story Mobile Game) and included new dialogue, bonus interactions, 14 alternate endings including a sneak peek at the upcoming feature film “Obliquity: Imagery of the Unknown”, plus a photo shoot bonus game where you can change the characters into several different outfits and make them do and say funny things!
Riskay alternate costumes you can choose for Vicki and Tori in ‘Wreckfest – An Interactive Story’.
Now in summer 2015, we posted the walkthrough of the game hosted by the creator himself part of the Let’s Trip! series. Anthony Tran takes you through the game and gives commentary on the project while showing you the cheats, secrets, playthrough and insight on how you can find and change a lot of the outcomes.
